Who am I

I'm Wout Van Steenkiste, a photographer and cinematographer from Brugge, Belgium. Currently based in Bruges for the summer season. A 25-year-old adventurer who's travelled since a young age, I traded my Business Engineering Data Analytics studies for life behind the lens, capturing emotional wedding moments and epic tales.

ver since I was little, my parents took me travelling. From exploring Europe to later discovering countries like Guatemala and Australia, every trip fuelled my curiosity to find out what was waiting behind the next corner. Around the same time, a one-week summer photography camp sparked another passion. What started with a small family camera quickly grew into a love for photography, allowing me to capture the places, people, and moments that inspired me.

When I was sixteen, I joined a volunteer project in Morocco. That experience changed the way I looked at the world and ignited a dream: after finishing my studies, I would travel the world!

And so I did.

I studied Business Engineering, specialising in Data Analytics, but some of my most valuable experiences came outside the classroom. I spent much of my free time organising events with my student association, where I discovered how much I enjoy bringing people together. There is nothing quite like seeing a crowd of people having an unforgettable day because of the work you and your team put in behind the scenes.

With my degree in hand, I set off on my first big adventure. After travelling through Turkey with friends, I continued alone to Georgia for my first solo backpacking trip. It was there that I discovered the unknown wasn't something to fear, it was something exciting. Every new place, every unexpected encounter, and every challenge becomes a part of the adventure.
