Colombia

Colombia surprised me in the best way. It’s a country that feels endlessly diverse, where every region tells a completely different story. In the north, I wandered through the golden dunes of La Guajira and watched the desert meet the Caribbean. Further West, Tayrona Park offered jungles that spill right onto white-sand beaches, a dream for anyone who loves nature and light. Palomino was an oasis of open minded people.

In the middle of the country, I found calm in Jardín’s colorful streets and coffee-scented hills, and a burst of energy in Medellín, a city that feels alive and creative at every corner. Bogotá showed me culture and street art.

In Cali, even though it’s said to be dangerous, the warm, welcoming people taught me how to salsa and showed me exactly why they call it the capital of rhythm and warmth.
